Think Social 2: On Record in South Eveleigh

Sydney, 28 May 2025 — Under the lights and behind the lens, the pulse of Australia's social enterprise movement beat strong once again at Think Social 2. Filmed in South Eveleigh, this second instalment of the Think Social Series brought together leading social changemakers, buyers, certifiers and operators — on record and on purpose.

Part filmed platform, part ecosystem spotlight, Think Social 2 was designed to document not just the outcomes, but the people, processes and values that drive the social enterprise sector forward.

Hosted by Kyriakos Gold, CEO of Just Gold and Chair of the Aurum Foundation, this unique event captured raw and real conversations with the changemakers shaping the future of business for good.

A Platform of Purpose

From innovation to procurement, storytelling to certification, the session explored what it really takes to scale and sustain purpose-led impact in 2025.

We were proud to be joined by Monique Ward, Executive Director, Innovation & Services at Social Traders — the industry authority on social enterprise credibility and commercial growth. Monique shared insights into how Australia's certification landscape is evolving and how enterprises can leverage it to trade more, and better.

Melissa Raby, Head of Social Impact at John Holland, brought the buyer perspective to the fore, offering a compelling view on the opportunities and obligations for large infrastructure players to embed social procurement in meaningful and measurable ways.

On Camera, In Community

This edition profiled a powerful lineup of social enterprise leaders making a difference across industries — from tech and construction to food, education, and sustainability: Fiona Harrison (Chocolate On Purpose), Dean Tavener (Pixii), Sally Caruana (Sheforce), Racha Abou Alchamat (Racha Kitchen), Annette Brodie (The Reconnect Project), Craig Fairweather (Mill House Ventures), and Rebecca McCash (FutureTech).

Each story was a reminder that social enterprise is not just a sector, but a movement — built on inclusion, innovation, and unwavering commitment to community.

Why It Matters

The Think Series is not just an event — it's a blueprint for engagement, trust-building, and sector cohesion. It gives social enterprises and their allies the tools to scale visibility, influence systems, and build partnerships grounded in shared values.

As we continue to film, connect and collaborate across the country, Think Social is becoming a national archive of action — chronicling where the sector is going and who's taking us there.
